New lawn installation
Bare graded lots after the builder leaves. We fix ruts, break the clay pan and spray a blend matched to your light.
Get a quoteWe install new lawns and stop soil moving. Hydroseeding is what we do most — seed, mulch, fertilizer and tackifier sprayed onto bare clay in one pass — backed by silt fence, retaining walls and drainage when the ground needs more than grass.

Seed, mulch, starter fertilizer and tackifier mixed in the tank and sprayed in an even coat. The green dye shows exactly what's covered.
Germination in 7 to 14 days. You water to the schedule we leave, we come back after germination to touch up.
Four services solving the same underlying problem: soil and water going where they shouldn’t. Most jobs start and finish with seed.
Our core service. New lawns on graded lots, renovation of thin yards, and permanent cover on slopes — roughly a third the cost of sod.
Perimeter sediment control installed to your approved erosion control plan. Trenched and compacted, maintained through the build, removed at close-out.
Segmental block, boulder and timber walls where grade change is the real problem. Proper base, drainage stone and geogrid where height calls for it.
French drains, curtain drains, swales and downspout tie-ins for yards that hold water. We reseed the scar when we're done.

Thin, mossy or patchy yards. Aeration plus a fall hydroseed overseed rebuilds density without a tear-out.

Banks that wash out every storm. Heavier mulch and tackifier hold the surface through Piedmont downpours.

Three situations where waiting costs more than calling.
Bare ground above a creek, pond or storm drain doesn't wait for the right seeding window. We spray a bonded matrix and a fast nurse crop to hold the surface now, then come back for permanent turf.
Third bag of seed, same bare patches. Usually it's compaction, not the seed. We break the surface seal, amend where a soil test calls for it, then hydroseed into ground that can actually hold a root.
Standing water for days after rain rots seed and kills what's already there. Drainage comes first — French drain, curtain drain or regrade — and we reseed the scar once it's piped out.

Most residential hydroseeding runs $0.08 to $0.30 per square foot, so a typical quarter-acre yard lands between roughly $900 and $3,300. Price moves with lot size, how much grading the clay needs, slope and truck access. Every estimate is free and measured on site.
Tall fescue germinates in 7 to 14 days in Triangle conditions. You’ll have a thin green haze in about two weeks, a first mowing around week four to six, and a lawn that looks filled in after one full growing season.
Mid-September through late October is the strongest window in the Piedmont — warm soil, cooler air and reliable fall rain. March into early April is second best. Bermuda and Zoysia go down May through July. Erosion control seeding runs year round using cover crops.
Sod gives an instant lawn and suits urgent timelines. Hydroseeding costs roughly a third as much, roots deeper because the grass grows in your own soil rather than a farm’s, and reaches slopes a sod crew would struggle to hold. We wrote a full comparison if you want the detail.
Yes. We work from your approved plan, trench and compact the fabric rather than surface stapling it, handle inlet protection, maintain it through construction and remove it at close-out — along with the permanent seeding that usually goes in at the same stage.
They solve different problems and get confused often. Soil moving downhill is a grade problem and a wall is the answer. Water sitting or running across the yard is a drainage problem and a wall won’t fix it. We’ll tell you which you have at the estimate, including when it’s neither.
Yes. Clay itself isn’t the problem — compaction is. We break the surface seal, amend with lime or compost where a soil test calls for it, and the mulch and tackifier hold seed and moisture against the surface instead of letting it run off.
